  my mum gave me her 30+ year old engaging ring to me, & it has two bad chips in the rubies so I went there to get it repaired. they sent it off, and was called and told all the rubies were damaged in some way. I took this down to the age & they said for £386 they'd replace all the 8 small rubies. I thought great so said yeah to that.. go to collect it and is told two rubies have been replaced, the chip you could see CLEARLY was still there. they'd replaced what they said was a chip I'd never..

  I had bought a Tag watch for £2150 2 years ago, I put the watch into the Glasgow Braehead store for a battery and re-seal on the 10th August.
  
  I was called around 4 days later by the store (they had left a voice mail message) to say the watch did infact need a full service and part replacement for which there would be an additional charge. I had not have any other contact with the shop and at no point had I been told that this service would take between 8-12 weeks (we are due to get married on the 5th November).
  
  The communication from the store was less than minimal and we were never given an estimate date to collect the repaired watch. My mother had chased the status of the watch many times at the store and they had only ever told her they were waiting on the part and until they could get information from the watch repairer they could not give me a date. the watch repairer never seemed to get back to the store and the store never ever seemed to get back to me when they said they would call back/
  
  Come the 12th October I had to go into the store to see what the heck was going on with the watch - the manager was less than helpfull and told me that a service too between 8-12 weeks (which was the first we had heard of this time frame and there is nothing in Ernest Jones narratives to state a service taks this long!) and we probaly would not get the watch back for the wedding and there was nothing else he could because if they did not have th
