  Bought a laptop from John Lewis, it packed up after a week. It just sat on my desk, I hadn't moved it yet. Under their policy, they claim to give you a return in such a scenario. I called up, went through troubleshooting and was told to go to the store for the replacement. In store, the woman who saw me told me the computer looked old, she wouldn't replace it and I was trying to pass off an old computer as new to rip off the store. I said this wasn't the case and she called me a liar. I got the..

  We bought this item On line - the delivery service was ok although a 2-9pm time slot was not very convenient!
  However , Returns service rubbish!!!
  When we opened the package, which was a DVD unit,( described as oak solids and veneers) we realised that it did not match the description and it was much cheaper looking than ikea Billy! There was no solid oak and the veneered sides were finished with a paper faced back edge.
  Phoned customer services within 15 minutes of delivery and was told they would contact us to arrange collection. We waited patiently and they never phoned. We had to phone them -several times only to be told their delivery/ collection service is busy ans so we are having to wait two weeks from delivery for it to be collected so it is cluttering up our house!
  Will not deal with them again
